Mrs Lady D33,
some light cramping can be a sign of ovulation. It will usually only last a few minutes to a few hours. Ovulation symptoms will usually occur 2 weeks after your period and before your next one, so I don't think the discharge you notice right after your period is related.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonThe signs of ovulation I been having is lower cramping and white dischange sometimes when I have lower cramps they last for about 10 too 30mins and I have the dischange right after my period and I want know is that early sgin of ovulation or I am ovulated right now I am trying too get pregnant with my 3rd child I hope this is the month for me I been trying since last year.

you should talk to your doctor if you are consistantly noticing blood following sex. It might be a sign of a medical condition, like endometriosis, that needs to be addressed.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonWhy is it that sometimes, when i and my husband having sex,,,, after the incourse.... am bleeding.. we been married for two years. pls advice-- Contributed by: Enter your name here
Tricia,
most women don't ovulate until two weeks after their period. If you have a short period, say every 20 days instead of 28 days, you might be ovulating now.
But, since you're concerned about it, you should give your doctor a call. You could wait a few days to see if it clears up, but if it doesn't, definitely call your doctor.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonMY PERIOD ENDED EXACTLY 1 WEEK AGO. i HAD A YEAST INFECTION BEFORE MY PERIOD AND IT APPEARED TO CLEAR UP. NOW TODAY I DISCOVERED A WHITE, CLEAR, STRETCHY , ODOURLESS DISCHARGE FROM MY VAGINA. AM I OVULATING IS IT SOMETHING MORE SERIOUS, LIKE AN STD.

if your husband's sperm has low motility, you may need to use a form of assisted reproduction to conceive, like intrauterine insemination. Low motility means that the sperm doesn't travel as well or as far as it should. Your doctor may be able to recommend some treatment options, but you may still be able to conceive on your own.-- Contributed by: HollySwanson
Please i have been trying for so long but to no avail. Doctor said me and husband are ok but we have low motility on the sperm .Can we do it still.-- Contributed by: keji
Beckyrn, using an ovulation predictor can be helpful, but only if you have a regular cycle and ovulate around the same time each month. If you try to conceive for more than 3 months without any luck, you should see your OB/GYN or a fertility specialist for help. You may need extra monitoring to determine when you ovulate or might need fertility medication.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonI am 40 and am just trying to become pregnant. I had a child 13 yrs ago and became pregnant the first month of trying. As I see it the statistics are against me, however I have been using the opk since day 6 of my cycle and have had negative results, but I have spinbarkeit. Could I have missed my LH surge? Can I trust the cervical mucous??

-- Contributed by: HollySwansonMarie, sperm can live up to 72 hours so it's unlikely you could be pregnant. To ease your mind, you can take the First Response Early Result Pregnancy Test four days before your period is due.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonIt is April 24th and I am 17.5 weeks. I had sex with someone December 1st other than my boyfriend. My last period was November22nd, is there any possible way he could be the father?
-- Contributed by: craigfann15I had unprotected sex on the 13th of April, a day after I finnished my period. I think I ovulated on the 21st of April. Is there a big chance that I may be pregnant? How long exaclty can the sperm live?
-- Contributed by: MarieCatherine, if you are ovulating on the 16, having sex on the 9th would have been too early to conceive. If you were taking fertility predictors that said you were fertile then, you might have ovulated a bit earlier this month.
Some women do bleed during ovulation so that might be what you are experiencing now.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonI noticed today that I have more CM, but some of it is a little bloody. Is this normal? I am also feel very nauseas.
Also, my husband and I had unprotected sex on the 9th of February. This was considered with in my fertile time. However, ovulation is set to start on the 16th. How can you be considered fertile for 5 days until ovulation, if the sperm does not live longer than 3-4 days?
-- Contributed by: CatherineJessica, if you took birth control pills, you probably won't ovulate, so you're temperature wouldn't change. The temperature change indicates ovulation, so no ovulation, no change. You will probably need to wait until a month where you are fully off the pills to use the BBT accurately.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonDo you have to be free of birth control pills in order to have your BBT read correctly?
-- Contributed by: JessicaHi Jo, sorry to hear about your Miscarriage. It sounds like you are doing many of the right things by using an ovulation test and timing your intercourse appropriately. It's also good that you have seen a doctor since you realized that you are not always ovulating.
Unfortunately, some Conception Problems are caused by being overweight. Maybe your doctor can recommend some ways for you to lose weight or can advise you on a diet you can follow. Keep trying what you have been doing and see your doctor again for more advice.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonHi please help. i had a miscarrige on March 2006 have been trying with help of ovulation predicter kits, as recent tests over 3 months showed that i may not ovulate every month. i was referred to fertitlty clinic who states as i am overweight they are refusing me treatment. This has made me feel guilty and extremelly low. i am desperate to conceive, my cycle usually last 29 days and ovulation kits always demonstrate a positive on day 16 though very faint line on day 15 and day 16. I had intercourse with husband on day 13 and also day 15. Any help please. Thank you much appreciated.
-- Contributed by: JoStefanie, The best time to try for a girl in theory is a few days before or on the day you ovulate. But, there is no fullproof way to get a girl. We have some other tips available in the article How to Conceive a Girl.
You should also check out the article Ovulation Predictors and the other tips in this article for details on how to know when you are ovulating.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonMy fiance and I have 2 boys. Both conceived in January of different years. My oldest was conceived around the end of January 'o5 (but was born 2 months early) and my youngest was conceived around the middle of january '06 (born 1 day before due date). We both were told by several different doctors that we could not have kids (before I gave birth to my oldest son) and now we have 2. But since then we have tried but nothing is working at all. When I conceived my boys we used condoms and I was on the patch with my oldest and we used condoms as well as the pill (not sure which one it was) with my youngest. We are trying with no protection to see if it will work as well. We are trying for a girl but not sure exactly how a predictor of sorts could help (chinese lunar calendar for example). How would I know when would be the best time to try for a girl? On his side of the family there was only one girl conceived and the rest boys, his uncle and aunt had a girl but his dad and his other uncle had all boys (his dad has two brothers, no sister, stephen {fiance} has two brothers and no sisters as well). On my side there is a ratio of approximately 2:1 female to male. Is there any way to determine an assumption of sorts that we would conceive a girl? How do I know for sure when I am ovulating and use it to my vantage of having a girl? If any of it is possible.
-- Contributed by: StefanieHi Lashundra, it's not uncommon for some women to experience "secondary infertility," which refers to woman who have one pregnancy easily and have trouble when they try for a second. That might be what's going on. The same infertility options like IVF and fertility drugs should be discussed with your doctor.
But, I'm more concerned about your missing cycles. Skipping one isn't a big deal, but it sounds like you haven't had a period since December '06, right? You may have a medical condition like polycystic ovary syndrome. If this is the case, you need to see your doctor soon so she can get you the right treatment. Something like untreated PCOS does cause infertility, so it's best to get checked out soon.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonI have been trying to conceive a child for the last two years. I am 22 years old and I have a six year old son. I have not had a cycle since December of 2007, and the one before that was September of 2006. Why cant I conceive a child, what do I need to do?
-- Contributed by: lashundra brownAlthough you may be pregnant, itâs probably too early to tell one week after conception. Itâs too early to take a pregnancy test with an accurate result and most women donât notice any signs until at least two weeks after conception occurs.
But some women do report having symptoms immediately after conceiving, such as swollen heavy breasts. The most common sign of implantation are light cramps and some spotting, but even these signs are so small that many women miss them.
By next week, you might start seeing some signs of pregnancy. Hang in there!
