Hi, I just bought this book and I'm looking forward to reading it. I have 2 wonderful and energitic boys. My husband and I wanted so much for a girl but our hopes are slim since girls do not run high in both sides. I need help!

Elizabeth, there are some tips about conceiving a boy in our How to Conceive a Boy article that might help. Since sperm with the male chromosome travels faster, timing intercourse for right before you ovulate might help.

As for the supplements you mentioned, I'm not familiar with them and don't know much about them. Talk to your doctor for advice about those.

hi, i trying for a baby boy as i have a daughter and two step daughters, is it ok to take chlorophyll alfalfa consentrate by "grants" (once a day) to up my alkaline levels? dose this help? also is multivitamins,iron and folic acid ok to take? helllppp!!!!!!!!

I used the shettles method to conceive our 2nd child. We wanted to give our daughter a sister and we followed the guidelines religiously. We now have 2 gorgeous little girls, age 6 and 13 months and I highly recommend this method. We got pregnant on the first try! GL everyone!

Courtney, according to the Shettles method, you have a better chance of conceiving a girl in the missionary position (on the bottom).

Does it matter whether the woman is on top or bottom to conceive a baby girl? I have 2 boys and would love a little girl.

Judy, I've read different theories on the topic, some say that the properties in KY, although it's not a spermicide, make it harder for the male sperm to get through. But, plenty of woman use KY and there are a lot of boys in the world, so this isn't a definite.

If you're concerned, try using a lubricant specifically designed for conception like Preseed. It's "sperm friendly" and should help all the sperm make it through.

My husband & I want to have a baby boy. We have been reading allot of research. One thing we have not read and this applies to us is the use of a KY type lubrication. We have to use this type of lubrication before love making. Will this cause one type of sperm to be stronger than the other? Will the use of this type of lubricate lower our chances of having a baby boy? Thanks you for your time with this.

Jugni, there is no full-proof way to conceive a boy, but there are some things you can do to increase your chances. First, timing intercourse for the day before you ovulate may help the Y chromosones reach the egg first. Taking the supplement Evening Primrose may also increase your odds of conceiving a boy.
