Hayley,
it depends on how much blood there is. Some Pregnancy Bleeding is normal as your body adjusts to being pregnant, but if the spotting increases or continues, it might be a sign of a miscarriage. Give your doctor a call so they can follow you closely.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonif you are 7weeks and start to bleed a small amont does it mean you are having a miscarriage
-- Contributed by: hayley smithKenneth, if the ER's ultrasound showed that she is not pregnant, she's probably not. It sounds like she had a very early miscarriage, which is why she got the positive test result before she started bleeding. Even after miscarrying, the pregnancy hormones stay in the woman's body for a little while, causing her to still get positive test results. Good luck at your appointment.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonmy wife and i just had a miscarriage? my wife started spotting on 11/12 08. on 11/13 a home test was neg. on 11/24 she was positive, on 11/25 again positive. on 11/25 we went to a clinic and she was positive. she had been spotting the whole time. on 11/27 she started her normal period, i called the clinic and they transferred me to an obgyn they were off for the holiday. he ask how much was she bleeding. i told him 1/2 a pad a day. he said if it gets worst take her to er. the next day she did 1/2 a pad over night. i took her to er. they did a urine test, blood test, and a ultra sound. then they told us she miscarried. the ultrasound showed no baby, but the other test still showed she was pregnet? the clinic today 12/03/08 set us up to see an obgyn on 12/22/08. what are the chances she is still pregnet? it was an er doc. not an obgyn?

It's more likely that the spotting you noticed was with a late ovuation or as implantation bleeding. If you have conceived this month and had a miscarriage already, it would have happened so early that you probably wouldn't have seen much evidence. Instead, it would have seemed like a regular period.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonWe've been trying for close to 3 months to conceive. My cycle is very regular, starting every 28 days. My last period was August 2nd, I was expecting my next period on August 20th, but I started spotting with brownish discharge on the 22nd, which turned into a bright red flow on the 24th. I didn't have any cramping or feel like it was my period. Is it possible I could've miscarried?
-- Contributed by: MegCarol, most home pregnancy tests need to be taken on the first day of your expected period, but you can take the First Response Early Result Pregnancy Test four days before your period is due. That means you only have about a week and a half to find out. Good luck!

-- Contributed by: carolMelanie, did your doctor give you a Blood-based Pregnancy Test? It's possible that you had an early miscarriage but something would probably still show up on that test. Since the tests were all negative, you probably weren't pregnant.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonMy husband and I are trying to conceive. I usually start to spot about 11 days after ovulation, and get a heavier period around day 12 and/or 13. This month I didn't get my period. I took a bunch of pregnancy tests and they came back negative. A few days ago I started to notice slight spotting, and yesterday (18 dpo) and today (19 dpo) it got heavier. I went to my doctor and the UPT was negative and she told me it was normal to be that late, but it isn't for me! Is it possible that I had a really early miscarriage??

every women's body recovers differently from a miscarriage, but since you were only six weeks along, you will probably get a regular cycle back quickly. Since you think you ovulated when you had sex, you could be pregnant. The miscarriage shouldn't have any effect on future pregnancies.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonWhen will My period comne it has been to weeks and as of today I am ovulating me and my husband accientally had unprotected sex could i get pregant again and i was 6weeks when i had misscariage.and how sucessful would pregancy be
-- Contributed by: oniqueMiscarriages seem to take a bigger toll on the emotions than on the body. My sister had a miscarriage last Decemeber and she still is having a hard time emotionally with the process. She was never given closer because the fetus never passed. It was her first pregnancy and she has yet to become pregnant again since then.
