Elaine,
if you conceived from sex on 9/26, it would be pretty early for you to start noticing early signs of pregnancy, but some women can tell right away. The spotting you mention could be the start of an early period or it might be related to implantation bleeding. Since you're understandably anxious, you may want to take the First Response Early Result Pregnancy Test, which is accurate four days before your period is due.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonSorry for the big right up guys, but any answers are appreciated..
Hey guys, so on the 11th of September i got my period, which finished on the 16th. On the 26th of September my partner and i had unprotected sex. For the last few days i've had cramping, like period pain, (although not quite as bad as it normaly is before my period) so i assumed i was about to get my period..though it would be almost two weeks early which is unusual for me. Anyway, i looked into it and found that this is an early symptom of pregnancy, but as early as 9 or 10 days?? Then a few days after that, i had very thick vaginal discharge (creamy/milky white, and odourless) Also, yesterday i went to the bathroom and there was blood, a pinkish/brown colour, and very light..this only lasted for an hour or two then disapeared..then it was back thismorning, and gone by the afternoon.(And my period is due in 5 days..) I've also been very bloated and have a cramping lower back, all signs of pregnancy i know, but surely not this early? Thanks to anyone who can help

if your miscarriage came later in the pregnancy and your milk came in, it may take a few weeks for the milk to go away. But, it's always a good idea to check with your doctor anytime you have questions about something unexpected in your body.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonI've been pregnate before but i had a miscarriage and had to take alot of medicine after it. But my breast are still making milk and leak from time to time. Is it normal or should I go see my doctor?
-- Contributed by: NicholeStella,
the chances of you being pregnant are pretty slim you got your period the next day. Most women ovulate two weeks after their period, which is when you'd be most likely to conceive.
If you're really concerned, it wouldn't hurt to take a pregnancy test, but you'll have to wait until your next cycle is due.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonHi...I had sex with my bf but he didn't go all the way in...it might be possible that I got pre ... inside of me but he took it out when he knew he was going to ... but im still worried...even though I got my period the next day...is there a possibility I could be pregnant? and how long do i have to wait to take a pregnancy test?
-- Contributed by: stellaAsian, though rare, it is possible to get pregnant from what you described. Even though the ejaculation was outside your vaginal, some of it could have gotten in, especially if there was any penetration before. You can take a pregnancy test when your next period is due to ease your mind.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonhey... can i ask some experts here? i have engaged in this heavy petting with my boyfriend. he ejaculated outside my vaginal opening but we haven't engaged in penetration.is it possible to get pregnant? how many days after the last intercourse will i be able to check for pregnancy..???
-- Contributed by: asian ladyCan I,
not really. Some women get what think is a period while they are pregnant, but it's usually pegnancy-related spotting or implantation bleeding.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonCan i be pregnant and have my period?
-- Contributed by: Can i?Shayna, no, marijuana can't be passed to you through semen, but you probably could get some exposure to it if you are in the same room with him as he smokes. In general, you should avoid exposure to any kind of smoke and drugs while you're pregnant
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonIf my boyfriend does marijuana and im pregnant is it safe to have sex or can it pass through to your system through semen?
-- Contributed by: ShaynaKris, I'm not sure I follow what you mean by withdraw. Usually, someone who uses the withdrawal method of birth control ejaculates outside the vagina, but it doesn't sound like that's what you mean.
If you are worried that you could get pregnant, you might want to use an emergency contraceptive like Plan B. Otherwise, you can take a pregnancy test in about two weeks.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansoni had sexual intercourse last night and we did it three times but he didnt withdraw the semen inside my vagina. but after that, we did it again.is it possible to get pregnant even if he didnt withdraw it inside me? what should i do next? i cant wait for my next period. i dont count the days of my period and i forgot when's my last menstrual period already. help!
-- Contributed by: Krisi meant to put the doctor did not examine me sorry i'm getting everything wrong just recently lol
-- Contributed by: mariaMaria, if the tests are all negative and your doctor has examined you, you are probably not pregnant. Or, it's possible that your cycle was irregular and you conceived much later than six weeks ago. Wait about a week and test again. If you still don't have your period, your doctor might be able to give you medication to start your period and get your cycle back on track.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonTricia, unfortunately, these are common side effects, but they often passed by the end of the first trimester.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansoni am at least 6 weeks late for my period i am getting all the symptoms of being pregnant but my doctor says i am not even though he did examine me but tests are comming back negative helpppppppp
-- Contributed by: mariai've got my pregnacy symptoms when i am already at 5th weeks of my pregnacy... i want to vomit... loose of appetite.
-- Contributed by: tricia and markLovely, this is not an uncommon problem, a lot of women experience this same thing. The next time you have intercouse, try propping your hips up on a pillow to keep them elevated.
If you have been trying to conceive for over a year with no success, you should contact your OB/Gyn. He may want to review your history and exam you to see if you have any fertility problems.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansoni have a question , after the intercourse i sleep fpr an hour or two and after i woke up , i feel all the sperms fill out again , is that a problem? is that why i cant be pregnant???
-- Contributed by: lovelySadia, although it might seem like everything comes back out, some of it will stay in. She should try lying on her back for a while after sex and maybe prop up her hips with a pillow to encourage everything to stay in.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonMy question is when I try to do intercourse and i release semen but after few moment everything will be out side from my wife vigina, please tell me the solution??
-- Contributed by: Sadia KhanNicole, it's possible you had a miscarriage or a false positive on your test. If you went to a doctor after the positive test and had a Blood-based Pregnancy Test, they can tell you for sure if you were pregnant. Otherwise, you can't really know.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansoni took a pregnancy test about three weeks ago it was positive and my period has now come what does this means was i really pregnant or did i have a spontainious abortion.
-- Contributed by: NicoleShamita,
the First Response Early Result Pregnancy Test can be taken four days before your period is due, so if you have that in your area you can use it now. Most other tests are effective on the day your period is due.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonHi
I have some queries in terms of pregnancy. I have done an IUI for the second time on 13 March. I have 3 more days to observe my mensus. Today, I did feel like throwing up but noting seems to be coming out. I guess it is too soon to take a pregnancy test. however, my breast are swollen and I do feel crampy which I normally feel before my periods. Please advice your opinion on what should I do.
-- Contributed by: shamitaLady,
I would say pregnancy is highly unlikely in this scenario. However, it's important to remember that no form of birth control is ever 100 percent effective.

-- Contributed by: Danahinderswould it be possible to get pregnant if we used a condom and the guy pulled out before coming?
-- Contributed by: LadyMonica,
although it's unlikely that a girl could get pregnant without intercourse, it is possible. If any sperm, either from ejaculation or pre-ejaculate, came in contact with the vagina it could impregnate a women. That's why it's important to use a condom even in situations where there will be direct contact between penis and vagina even if intercourse isn't planned.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonHi me Monica here Just wanted to know that if someone has not done the proper process of intercourse, and just naked touching of the penis with the vagina, can the girl become pregnant after it??please let me know i am waiting for ur reply...
-- Contributed by: monicaHi Rob, there are a number of things it could be, most of them are nothing to worry about. It could be the onset or end of her period, she could have some mid-cycle spotting, or she might just have some bleeding from the sex itself (this is especially true if it lasted a long time or was rough. If neither of these are true and she had pain with it, she should see a doctor).
It's true that bleeding can accompany implantation or pregnancy, but without any other signs of pregnancy, it's probably not pregnancy-related. She should take a pregnancy test to be sure.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonHi, Me and my girlfriend were having intercourse and i noticed that a few minutes into it when i pulled out there was a little blood on the side of my penis, i don't know what this means. I've looked up some things and i read about some spotting or something that can be a sign of early pregnancy but i don't know if its that or something else. I'm worried about what it may be and if it could've been caused during intercourse or not. Please let me know
-- Contributed by: RobMelissa, symptoms aren't a good indicator of whether you are carrying a girl or boy. Some people claim that certain pregnancy traits, like carrying low, may indicate a boy, but just as many people claim that the same thing means a boy.
There are plenty of old wives' tales about gender prediction, but they are mostly just myths. The best way to find out the sex of a baby is to have an ultrasound or blood test.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonIF MY PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS ARE THE OPPISITE THEN MY FIRST CHILD, WILL I HAVE THE OPPSITE SEX?
-- Contributed by: MELISSASorry, Renee, but you'll need to talk to your doctor about this since only he knows what other medication you may be on and what is appropriate for you to try.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonwhat can i take for diarea
-- Contributed by: reneeHi Chelsea,
it's not unusual to have these type of feelings, especially with your first pregnancy. I won't kid you...labor is difficult, but there are a lot of things that can be done to help, including using anesthesia and epidurals. Lamaze may also help, as could prenatal classes, which will teach you different ways to manage the pain.
In almost every case, labor progresses pretty slowly, so you should have plenty of time to get to the hospital. In fact, I lived an hour from the hospital where I delivered. Not only did I make it there in plenty of time, but it still took seven hours before I had my son.
We often hear stories in the media about moms who deliver in their cars, but it's the fact that this is so rare that makes its newsworthy. That almost never happens.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonI am young and i'm pregnant with my first baby. My husband is very supportive and tells me everything will be ok, but i'm still scared I won't be able to make it through labor and if I do what if something is wrong with my baby? or what if the baby decides to come early? will I make it to the hospital? I live 2 hours away......

-- Contributed by: HollySwansonhow many oz of water gets in the womb by days? cause i need more liquid in there..
-- Contributed by: Ana perdomoHi Lisa007, depending on when you ovulate, you could get pregnant 5 days before your period. This isn't the optimal time to try getting pregnant if a woman is trying to conceive, but it could happen
Most women ovulate on Day 14 of their cycle. That egg can hang around waiting for to be fertilized for about 24 hours. If your cycle is irregular or short, or if you just ovulated later this month, that egg could have been ready 5 days before your period.
The likelihood of a women conceiving 5 days before her period is slim, but it can happen.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansoncan i become pregnant 5 days before my period?
-- Contributed by: lisa 007Sheila, if you are having negative pregnancy tests, especially at the doctor, I don't think you are pregnant. Have you spoken with your doctor about the pregnancy signs you seem to have?
It's possible that you were pregnant when you took the first test but had a miscarriage since then. The body will usually respond to a miscarriage quickly and you shouldn't be continuing to have pregnancy symptoms. Please check with your doctor in case you have other health issues that you may not be aware of.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansoni have a pt test last sep 11 its positive&i went to a doctor it says its neagative & i have a pt test again in homeits says negative again...but my belly is getting bigger&my areolas are getting darker&i experiencfd symtoms.until now i dont have my period.am i preg>?
-- Contributed by: sheilaHi Theresa, yes, it's possible. It's called pseudocyesis, also known as false pregnancy or phantom pregnancy. The body acts like it's pregnant and develops many of the typical early signs of pregnancy like weight gain, morning sickness, and missed periods.
If you think you might be experiencing this or know someone else who is, medical attention should be sought.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonHi I have a question what if you have all the sypmtons can you be pregnant in your mind and not reall be pregnant
-- Contributed by: theresaI'd wait at least another day and take the test again. Your period may even come before you take the next test. Good luck!
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonOK, thanks for the advance!!!! So when should I retake the pregnancy test, it has been about 3 days since my cycle was expected to come on.
-- Contributed by: NatalieOK! I have a question??? My period is about 3 days late and I took a home pregnancy test that came out Negative, should I take that as my final answer or what???
-- Contributed by: NatalieDsilva, finding out if your pregnant is really just a waiting game in the first few weeks. You usually won't have any symptoms before you test positive on a pregnancy test. If you don't have enough pregnancy hormone to register on the test, there is probably not enough change going on in your body yet to cause pregnancy symptoms.
So, you could be pregnant, but you won't know for probably another week. Hold off on testing until you get closer to the date of your period.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonMy husband and i have been trying to get pregnant.Im experiencing aome symptoms, but the home pregnancy tests still say that im not pregnant. i still have a week before my period. Can i be pregnant??
-- Contributed by: DsilvaRichmond,
To cause a pregnancy, the penis needs to ejaculate and release sperm into the vagina. However, it doesn't matter whether or not you are a virgin when this happens. Contrary to popular belief, a woman can get pregnant the first time she has sex. If you are thinking of having intercourse, check out our articles on conception and birth control to choose a contraceptive that is right for you.

Tara,
Congratulations on your pregnancy! To answer your daughter's question, urine formation begins between weeks 9 and 12 of a pregnancy. However, when the urine is released, it is simply "recycled" back into the amniotic fluid. Although this may sound slightly gross, you can assure your daughter that the process is completely sterile and will not harm the baby in any way.
