Am 18 weeks now. For some reasons i have a strong feeling am carrying twins. I have not had an ultrasound yet but the dr has been hearing just one heartbeat. But everytime i go in he just puts the doppler at one point. Is it possible to miss the other heartbit. I started feeling my baby move at 13 weeks and it became frequent at 16 weeks. Am already showing. I have only gained 11 Ib but i lost weight in first trimester due to eaxtreme nausea and vomiting. I was having it the whole day but not any more now cOULD I BE PREGNANT WITH TWINS?

-- Contributed by: HollySwansonI just foound out on July 30th that I was pregnant again. My hormones are usually low that a pregnancy test will not decect the pregnancy untill I am 6 weeks or futher. Well I had to go through testing and ultrasounds and they said that I am 1 to 3 weeks pregnant, but my hcgs are up in the 5 week range and i am having extreme morning sickness and its all hours of the day. I was wondering is that a indicator of twins? If anyone knows could you please let me know. Thank you Stacie

it is possible that you are carrying twins, but at six weeks it's might be too early to tell. Are you sure that you know when you conceived? A common explanation for early weight gain is often having an earlier conception date than expected. Your doctor may be able to tell if you have twins based on an ultrasound or the results of blood tests.

anytime you have bad pain like that, you should contact your doctor and let them decide if you need to be seen. Some pain in early pregnancy is common, but if it keeps you up at night your doctor needs to know.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonI am pregnant for around 3 weeks now.I felt a severe pain around abdomen not below the navel for a whole complete night & couldn't sleep well. Is that normal for first month?or it is just a little gastric problem.just tell me what should i do in this case.
-- Contributed by: Abdominal PainConnie, most home tests can detect a pregnancy on the first day of your expected period or two weeks after you conceive. There are some newer, more advanced tests on the market like the First Response Early Result Pregnancy Test, that are valid four days before your period is due. If you take an early test and get a negative, you should wait a few more days and test again.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonMy husband and I have been trying to conceive for a while now, how early will a conventional at home pregnancy test detect a pregnancy?
-- Contributed by: ConnieConnie, it's not likely. Most women don't experience any noticeable signs of pregnancy until two weeks after they've conceived, which is also when you can get a positive pregnancy test. Breast changes are, however, one of the first signs of pregnancy, so you might notice this very early on if you are trying to conceive and are paying close attention to your body.
