Clare, anytime you have a serious enough concern about your pregnancy, you should contact your doctor. Hopefully you already have, but if not contact them right away. It could be nothing, but only your doctor can evaulate.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonI am 38.5 weeks pregnant with baby #2 and think I feel a decrease in fetal movement (possibly less noticible/smaller movements due to space). Some cramping is beginning and have been having braxton hicks since 26 weeks. Also, some feelings of nausea. I have been tracked then discharged from a specialist earlier on and have been having weekly non-stress tests now. Three days ago, at a NST, I was given food to wake the baby, since the kick count was low, which worked and they sent me home. It's the middle of the night...should I call my Dr.?

fetal movements can vary greatly, but since you have noticed a definite drop off in activity, you should mention it to your physician. It might be nothing to worry about and will probably be checked during a routine ultrasound, but you're better off having a doctor check.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonI am 17 weeks and 5 days pregnant and have been feeling the movements of my baby since 15 weeks. Recentley over the past few days I have felt very little movement if any at all. I am wondering if this is normal during this stage of pregnancy as this is my second baby and cannot remember this stage first time round.
-- Contributed by: ReneeKirsty, every pregnancy is different, so it's not unusual to have one lower than the others. But, it is a little early for you to be feeling so uncomfortable. Make sure you talk to your doctor about your concerns. An ultrasound or physical exam should be able to let you know if there is any reason to be concerned.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansoni am 23 weeks pregnant, this is my third pregnancy. the baby moves a lot but it is very low down, i am finding it very uncomfortable and dont think i should be feeling it move so low down. is it normal?
-- Contributed by: kirstyLayla, unlike people, unborn babies who aren't born yet don't follow daily patterns or time. So a "day" to your baby could start and end at anytime, making it seem like he's not active on Monday but active on Tuesday. If there is a real drop off in the movement, contact your doctor.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonI am 26 weeks and some days baby moves more and some day less. Why is that?
-- Contributed by: laylaI am now 33 weeks pregnant and little one is jumping about that much that i fear my waters will break. I think he is eager to meet his brothers and sisters.
-- Contributed by: sherylI found out I was pregnant a week ago through three home pregnancy tests. My first appointment is May 14th. I have felt little flutters here and there before I took the test and well today as I am sitting here typing. We figured I could be anywhere between 5 and 7 weeks now. But we are not sure yet. It is funny, sometimes I feel little pangs which I found out is normal and half the time it is because I have to go to the bathroom. We are very excited.
