Amelia,

since your period is a month late and you are having some pain, you should contact your doctor. It's highly unlikely that you are pregnant since you had a tubal 10 years ago, but there is about a 1 percent failure rate. Have you taken a pregnancy test?

he i usually have irregular periods after i've had a tubal ligation. It's been 10 yrs since i'ved had this done. This is the first time time that i've been late on my period, two more days then it'll be a month since i didn't get my period. I did have like lower abdomin pain and lower back pain all on one side. Kinda frequent urination, feeling tired latelyl

Kelly,

there are several things it could be: an unusual cycle, pregnancy, or just a stomach bug. Most of the time, women don't start experiencing symptoms of pregnancy until after they get a positive pregnancy test. There really isn't enough of the pregnancy hormone to start causing symptoms until then. The bleeding might have been implantation, but it could have also been a light period. Take another test now and see what you get. No matter what the results, follow up with your doctor about your symptoms and irregular bleeding.

Hi, I think I might be pregnant. I have some signs of pregnancy such as nausea, frequent urination, tender breast, tiredness, and food cravings. For a couple of weeks at random times, mostly at night before I go to sleep, I've been getting these pains on my right side of my body. The pain would be very sharp and painful. I talked to one of my friends that went to college to become a doctor and he said that I might be having a ectopic pregnancy. I've taken two at home pregnancy tests, both a different kind, and they came back negative. I figured that I took them to early. I'm a regular bleeder. My periods are always on the same day, heavy, and last for only five days. Well I had some bleeding that happened a week early, was very light and stayed around for four days. I've done some reading and saw it could be a sign for implantation bleeding or an ectopic pregnancy. Could I be having an ectopic pregnancy? If so is there a way for me to keep my baby if I really am pregnant. My fiance and I want to have this baby.

Orogbemi, not a lot is known about why ectopic pregnancies happen, much less how to prevent them. There are no proven ways to prevent an ectopic pregnancy.
