Honeymom, since you are still two weeks away from your due date, you don't really need to worry about dilation yet. If anything, you can be glad that the pregnancy is progressing as long as it is. if your doctor still doesn't notice any dilation in a week and half or so, he may consider giving you a drug like Pitocin to move things along. But not being dilated yet is okay.

three days shy of your due date is considered full term. As long as your doctor thinks it's safe to start labor, there's no need to wait until the 30. Your body is sending you signals that it's just about time to get this baby moving. Good luck!
-- Contributed by: HollySwansoni am 3 centimeters dilated. today is aug 27th< im due aug 30th. i lost my mucus plug sunday morning. iv been having painless contractions for about a week. doc says he will break my water anytime now. i want her to come on her own time tho! i just dont want to wait forever! i dont want her to get too big either because i dont want a csec. any suggestions anyone? anybody think im close to going into labor on my own?
