If you take Clomid and Provera at night, the side effects are much less noticeable. :)
-- Contributed by: TamaraThis was my second round of clomid 50mg and I'm pretty sure it worked!
During my first treatment the side effects were terrible. The fullness, cramping, bloating, and mood swings were severe.
The second time was much easier, maybe because I knew what to expect or my body was used to it. In conjuntion with the clomid I used an ovulation kit and it worked! This is coming from someone who has not had a period in 3 years! So I would definatly recommend clomid.
-- Contributed by: louiseMy Doctor has prescribed me Provera for the 1st 10 days of the month and then Clomid on days 5-9 of my period. This is my 1st month taking it. I'm praying that it will be my last. The hormones in Provera drove me crazy and the period that I had afterwards was the worst I have ever had in my life!! My biggest dream in my life is to become a mother. I am, however, willing to adopt if I am unable to conceive. Good luck to all of you.
-- Contributed by: Clomid QueenLafayette, doctors often start with a lower dose of Clomid and increase over a few months to try to help you conceive. Usually, you will only take CLomid for six cycles. After that, you may want to try something else like IVF and intrauterine insemination.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonhi!i'm 37 and been trying to get pregnant for two years now.I have irregular menstruation,my doctor gave me provera to take every month and clomid on the 3rd day of my period.i'm still not pregnant and i'm afraid of the side effects on taking it for a long period of time.when should i stop?
-- Contributed by: lafayetteNya, there isn't any real cut off as to when Clomid should be stopped. As long as you are Trying to Conceive and your doctor thinks it's a good idea, it's safe to take it.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansontill what age can clomid be taken
-- Contributed by: nyaAzzahra, clomid is only available as a prescription and should be given by an OB/Gyn or clinic that is trying to help you conceive.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonhow can I get clomid?
-- Contributed by: azzahraHi Kare,
abnormal bleeding can be a side effect of taking Clomid and should be reported to your doctor. If you were actively trying to conceive this month or had IVF or intrauterine insemination, the spotting may be related to implantation bleeding.
In either case, you should mention it to your doctor.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansoni just finished my last dose of clomid and I just noyiced that I have some spotting what is this?
-- Contributed by: kare124Christine, Clomid may increase the chances of miscarriage, but you have to keep in mind that women taking it are usually in a higher risk group of having miscarriages anyway--they are older or have established fertility problems. Many women have miscarriages that have no known cause, so although there may be a risk of miscarriage with Clomid, it's not that high of a risk so it shouldn't deter you from taking it. But you can talk to your doctor about other medications, but they all come with certain risks.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonMy husband and I are about to have the Hysterosalpingogram done and then depending on what they find with that test my doctor is going to put me on Clomid then do artificial insemination. You mentioned that Clomid can cause miscarriage - how often does that occur. My husband and I have been trying for 5 years now and after reading that it makes me really frightened. Please Help!
-- Contributed by: ChristieMNicole, I assume that your doctor is also monitoring your ovulation...has it been regular? Although Clomid is effective for helping many women conceive, it's not 100 percent and there aren't any good answers about why it might not work for you. Your doctor can advise you best, but you should probably continue taking it for another month or two before moving on to something else.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonMy question is i have been on Clomid for the past 3 months. I have a 3 year old son and i had a miscarrage after him so my doctor put me on Clomid. Would there be a reason it is not working? I am on 50mg.
-- Contributed by: nicoleHi Yvonne, taking Clomid increasing your chances of getting pregnant, so if you had unprotected sex around the time you ovulated, you may have conceived. You should take a home pregnancy test then follow up with your OB/Gyn about the results.
-- Contributed by: HollySwansonMy questions is I was on clomid for some testing for fertility in October, I have note received my period and I just want to know if anyway I could be pregnant.
