Yes, I know it's very uncomfortable when all your muscles pull together into what feels like a knot but I don't have any pain just severe uncomfortability

What Should I...,

there's probably nothing you can do for them. It sounds like they are Braxton Hicks since they don't seem to be happening closer together or getting worse. Since most pain meds are off limits during pregnancy, you will likely need to just wait until they stop. Good luck

im 35 weeks and since my 34th week my lower back and ribs has been very painful at certain times and can last for a couple hours off and on ,but then i wont feel the same thing for a couple of days. do contractions go away for days and come back?

Dee, sounds like Braxton Hicks to me. If they get worse or start happening more frequently, you should give your doctor a call. But they may just come and go on their own.

I am 29 weeks and I am having a speratic tightening of the Uterus. I have no blood and baby is very very active. I would not call them pain just very uncomfortable. Is this Braxton Hicks????

Fred,

while Braxton Hick contractions are uncomfortable, they are usually painless. In some cases, a women might experience pain with them, but if she does should should get in touch with her doctor. It's uncommon for them to be painful.

That's just incorrect. They are not painless. They can be, but they can also be painful. This article makes it sound like if they're painful, it's the real thing. Nope, even if they hurt they can still be false contractions. Misinformation.

Veronica, contact your doctor. Anytime you have unexplained pain in your abdomen during pregnancy that isn't letting up, your doctor should be notified.

I am 28 weeks pregnant with my second. I'm having a lot of pain in my lower stomach and pressure after the pain stops. I have tried water, walking, and baths and the pain is still there. What should I do?
