Taking Charge of Your Fertility Helps You Understand Your Body
If you’re trying to conceive, Taking Charge of Your Fertility is a must-read book. Packed with tips on getting pregnant, this helpful resource gives you the information you need to better understand your body.
About Toni Weschler
Toni Weschler is the author of Taking Charge of Your Fertility and one of the most influential people in women’s health today. Weschler holds a master's degree in public health. She is the founder of Fertility Awareness Counseling and Training Seminars (FACTS) and has been a regular lecturer at various hospitals, clinics, and universities across the county since 1982.
The Book
In Taking Charge of Your Fertility, Weschler promotes the Fertility Awareness Method as a means of natural pregnancy achievement. In Taking Charge of Your Fertility, you’ll learn the following:
- How to chart your cycle to determine your date of ovulation – even if it’s not on day 14
- How to chart your body temperature to tell when conception has occurred or when there’s a danger of a miscarriage
- How to increase your chances of successful fertility treatments by identifying obstacles to pregnancy
- How to increase the likelihood of conceiving a baby boy or baby girl
To help you better understand Weschler’s research, Taking Charge of Your Fertility includes detailed spreadsheets, color photos of cervical fluid types, a comprehensive list of frequently asked questions, and a blank master basal body temperature chart.
The Software
Based on the phenomenal popularity of her book, Weschler has developed a Taking Charge of Your Fertility software program that makes it easy to apply the principles of her research to your own cycle. In fact, the Taking Charge of Your Fertility software is the only computer application approved by the US Food and Drug Administration as a fertility diagnostic device and aid-to-conception.
You can download a 15 day trial of the program from the Ovusoft website. The trial allows you to explore the various features of the software and play “what if” games with your current data. At the end of the 15 day period, you can purchase the software using a credit card, check, money order, or PayPal payment.
The Fertility Awareness Method as Birth Control
While Taking Charge of Your Fertility is most often used as an instructional guide for couples who are trying to conceive a child, the book is also helpful for women who wish to learn about a natural, chemical-free form of birth control that’s much more effective than the rhythm method.
However, it’s important to remember that this method is only recommended for couples in committed relationships who have been tested for sexually transmitted diseases. Only condoms can protect you against HIV and other STDs.
