Maggie and Peter first met during the filming of an unreleased Steven Soderbergh independent film in 2003. They began dating shortly after and have been a favorite Hollywood couple since then. Unfortunately, they’re keeping quiet about their wedding plans and whether or not the baby was the result of an unplanned pregnancy.

A Stylish Momma

Although she’s not due for a few more months, the pregnant Maggie Gyllenhaal looks as beautiful as ever. However, Maggie seems to prefer casual maternity fashions. In April, People magazine photographed Maggie wearing skinny jeans, a trendy navy t-shirt, and dark sunglasses. Maggie was also recently photographed skateboarding with her brother while wearing a cute yet comfy skirt and sweater combo.

Adjusting to Motherhood

Since this will be the first child for both Maggie and Peter, the couple will undoubtedly go through a period of adjustment. Balancing work and family is always difficult, even when you’re a celebrity mom!

In an interview given early in her career, Maggie told fans, “The real test will be having a family; when I have a family you have to come home, you have to eat dinner with your kids.”

In addition to the Gyllenhaal family’s accomplishments in the entertainment industry, they are also descendants of the Swedish noble Gyllenhaal family. However, Maggie’s parents have always stressed the importance of balancing their privileged lifestyle with community service.
