The only woman in the Fantastic Four movie quartet made headlines when it was announced: Jessica Alba pregnant. The young star of TV’s Dark Angel series and a growing number of films confirmed her pregnancy in late 2007. The father of her baby is longtime boyfriend Cash Warren.

Although Jessica Alba had been acting for a number of years before Dark Angel, this series propelled her into national stardom. Her naturally exotic looks and lithe figure made her an instant celebrity. She is also viewed as a down-to-earth person and not caught up in all things Hollywood, even though her career is firmly entrenched in the movie capitol.

Jessica has taken some time off work during her pregnancy and is simply enjoying the activities many expectant moms enjoy: decorating a nursery and shopping for baby items. The tabloids haven’t taken any time off, of course, and are reporting any Jessica Alba pregnant news they can.

Perhaps Jessica and Cash will want to grant exclusive photo rights to one magazine as some celebrities do; this way, the parents can control the photographs that emerge of their newest addition instead of constantly worrying that the paparazzi will hound them from the moment they check into the hospital to deliver. A Happy Pregnancy

Jessica has talked to the media and is excited about her impending motherhood, like many other women. A very happy and healthy Jessica appeared on the show to promote her film The Eye and was pleasantly surprised by the balloons and presents galore.

Just a couple of months after Jessica Alba’s pregnancy was confirmed in the media, rumors buzzed about whether or not she’s expecting twins. Reportedly, those close to Jessica and Cash Warren speculate that the couple’s plans for a nursery will have to be changed to accommodate two infants instead of one.

If Jessica Alba is expecting twins, she’s in good company: Jennifer Lopez and husband Marc Anthony welcomed two bundles of joy early in 2008 and Angelina Jolie and husband Brad Pitt are also reportedly expecting twins as well.

It seems 2008 is a big baby year for celebrity pregnancies. Christina Aguilera and Halle Berry showed off baby bumps as well this year. Jessica and her baby or babies will have no shortage of famous playmates.

A Temporary Condition

Many men’s publications reported Jessica Alba's pregnancy news with some disappointment, but the guys out there who love her should remember that pregnancy is only a temporary condition. Jessica will probably regain her trim figure and resume acting one day soon, even though she’s a mom. Her fans will no doubt be relieved to see their favorite star back on the screen.
