A Unique Gift for the Mom-to-Be
From Conception to Birth: A Life Unfolds makes a great gift for the expectant mother. While there are many books that provide a detailed explanation of the changes a woman’s body goes through during pregnancy, this innovative resource gives the mom-to-be a pictorial glimpse into the miracle of fetal development.
In From Conception to Birth: A Life Unfolds, readers get a close look at human embryos the size of a peanut. As you flip through the pages, you’ll see how tiny cells transform into a recognizable baby. These 3D images provide a glimpse into the first movements of arms and legs, the indication of gender, and the appearance of a child’s eye color. In fact, many readers say this book is guaranteed to give you a newfound respect for the power of the human body.

The Creation of From Conception to Birth: A Life Unfolds
When you first pick up a copy of From Conception to Birth: A Life Unfolds, it’s only natural to wonder how these amazingly detailed images were created.
Technically, the images in the book aren’t photographs. They are computer visualizations created using software developed by Alexander Tsiaras himself. However, great care was taken to ensure scientific accuracy. Embryo specimens held by the National Museum of Health provided the basis of the material for the book. Fertility medicine and obstetrics researchers also provided high tech scans of embryos and fetuses within the womb.
Using the Book to Explain Childbirth to an Older Sibling
