In this scenario, it’s no different than wanting to see your best friend’s ultrasound photos or pictures of your sister in her newest maternity outfits.
In June, fans across America cheered when sources reported that Reese Witherspoon is about four months pregnant. Reese, who already has two children with husband Ryan Phillipe, is reported to be the celebrity mom ordinary women would most like to emulate. You can definitely expect gossip magazines to be competing for exclusive rights to pictures of Reese’s baby bump in the upcoming months. However, the news break was followed shortly by Witherspoon suing Star magazine, claiming she is not pregnant.

Like it or not, celebrities are America’s trendsetters. We look to them for advice on everything from what to wear to how to decorate our homes. In fact, we even turn to them for advice on choosing baby names or decorating our firstborn’s nursery.

There were extensive news reports on everything from her choice of maternity clothes to her plan to give birth in Africa. And, when People magazine published the photos of Angelina’s daughter Shiloh, her Pots & Pans Band t-shirt made Kingsley Baby Tees instant bestsellers. Since this vintage washed grey shirt isn’t exactly traditional baby apparel, it’s doubtful ordinarily parents would rush to buy this item without Angelina’s implied endorsement.
We Like To See Unpopular Celebrities Look Bad
It’s tough to be a woman in today’s beauty-obsessed society. You’re constantly exposed to images of thin, gorgeous models with perfect hair, artfully applied makeup, and trendy outfits. So, it’s only natural to feel a sense of relief when you see celebrity pregnancy pictures that depict a starlet looking a little less than radiant.
Although she was once everyone’s favorite girl next door, Britney Spears has taken a beating in recent years. Her troubled marriage to Kevin Federline and her mishaps as a first-time mom have been repeatedly ridiculed by the press. In fact, during her recent Dateline interview, fans couldn’t stop gossiping about how Britney looked in her short skirt, too tight top, and sloppily applied mascara.
