Answer Pregnancy Test
From LoveToKnow Pregnancy
When looking for a home pregnancy test, you can choose from three different versions of the Answer pregnancy test. All three tests comes with full instructions written in English and Spanish.
Answer Pregnancy Test
The Answer Pregnancy test is perfect for the woman who is squeamish about trying to hold a test stick under a urine stream for five seconds without either dropping the stick or missing the stream of urine with the stick. The kit comes with a disposable urine cup, then the stick can be dipped into the cup for the five seconds before it is laid flat for the two minutes it takes for the test results to show up.
The one feature of this kit that may concern some users is the test stick does not come with a cap, which means extra care must be taken not to contaminate the results or leave urine on a flat surface. This can easily be overcome by putting down cellophane wrap or paper towels before laying down the stick.
The test results will show up one of three ways:
- One line means you are not pregnant;
- Two lines means you are pregnant;
- No lines mean the test is invalid, and you will want to take another test.
The cost of this kit is around $7-$10.
Answer Quick and Simple One-Step Pregnancy Test
Answer Quick and Simple One-Step Pregnancy Test guarantees accurate results as early as four days before the first day of your next period. The test detects the level of human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) in the urine. The manufacturer claims The Answer Quick and Simple One-Step Pregnancy Test can detect HCG levels in:
- 69% women who take the test within four days of their next period;
- 83% of women who take the test within three days of their next period;
- 93% accurate for women who take the test one to two days prior to the start of their next period.
To use this version of the Answer pregnancy test, you simply hold the test stick under your urine stream for five seconds, then wait three minutes for the test results. Two pink lines means you are pregnant; one line means you are not pregnant; and no lines means the test is invalid, and you will need to test.
The cost of this pregnancy test kit is also around $7-$10.
Answer One-Step Pregnancy Test
The Answer One-Step Pregnancy Test provides test results that are 99% accurate as early as the first day of your missed period. The test is taken by holding a test stick under your urine stream for five seconds, then waiting up two for the test results to show up. As with the other two kits discussed, two lines means you are pregnant, and the test does not come with test stick cover.
The cost of this test is between $7-$10.
In Conclusion
As with most pregnancy tests, if you receive a negative test result with an Answer pregnancy test kit, wait three days and take a new test. Once you receive a positive test result, schedule an appointment with your doctor. The sooner you begin your prenatal care, the better the chance you will deliver a healthy baby.
If after retaking a pregnancy test, you receive a negative result but your period still has not started, seek medical advice.

Like Julie, the line closest to the urine dip was very faint for me too. I will wait another 4 days to try again.
-- Contributed by: jesusisloveThe line closest to the urine dip was very faint, but I got two lines each time and it was 4 days before my missed period. Hopefully it doesn't turn out to be an early pregnancy that ends in a period. That is the only downfall of having a positive test so early...
-- Contributed by: JulieKelly, two lines mean you are pregnant, but it is the line further away that is the control. No matter which one was darker, the double line is positive result.
