A Brief Angelina Jolie Pregnant History

During early 2006, people from across the globe were wondering “Is Angelina Jolie pregnant?” Jolie, 30, and actor Brad Pitt, 42, have certainly been the talk of the tabloids in recent months.

Affectionately dubbed “Brangelina” by celebrity gossip mongers, the couple met during the filming of Mr. and Mrs. Smith in late 2003. While playing married assassins unwittingly assigned to kill each other, they displayed an on-screen chemistry that led reporters to speculate the two were having an intimate relationship.

At the time, Brad was still married to actress Jennifer Aniston at the time and Angelina fiercely denied the rumor. However, Brad and Jennifer divorced in October 2005. Rumors that Angelina Jolie is pregnant first surfaced in December 2005, with representatives for both Angelina and Brad confirming public suspicions in January 2006.

Preparing for Baby’s Arrival

Few details are known at this time about baby Brangelina. Us and the Enquirer have reported that the baby is a boy. However, Life & Style claims Angelina Jolie is pregnant and expecting a girl. Rumors have also circulated that Angelina Jolie is pregnant with twins as the result of fertility treatments! A sonogram picture claiming to be baby Brangelina was briefly listed on eBay.com, but quickly pulled by website officials after it was determined to be in violation of their policy on celebrity materials.

Even the baby Brangelina’s due date is a bit of a mystery. Angelina was quoted in one recent news article as saying she’s due near her own June 4 birthday. Other sources have claimed the baby is due in early May. Representatives for Brad and Angelina have yet to officially comment.

One Happy Family

Although this is Angelina’s first pregnancy, she’s already the mother of two adopted children. Her son Maddox, 4, was adopted from Cambodia. Her daughter Zahara, 1, was adopted from Ethiopia. Brad recently adopted both Maddox and Zahara, legally changing their surnames to Jolie-Pitt. Several sources close to the couple claim both Maddox and Zahara have begun to refer to Brad as “Daddy.”

While Brad has publicly proclaimed both his joy over Angelina’s pregnancy and his commitment to Maddox and Zahara, Star magazine recently quoted the pregnant Angelina Jolie as saying the couple has no plans for marriage. "We will never marry,” she said. “He is going through a divorce … And I've been divorced twice, so it's not something we're considering."

Trouble on the Horizon?

At first Angelina appeared to be taking her pregnancy in stride, with Brad doting over her like a proud father-to-be. The globetrotting couple was seen in Pakistan, where a pregnant Angelina Jolie toured earthquake-devastated areas as a goodwill ambassador for the U.N. Angelina briefly visited L.A. to stay with mother, who is being treated for cancer. Brad and Angelina were also been spotted in Haiti at hip hop artist Wyclef Jean’s charity performance.

However, after Angelina’s recent collapse on the set of her new movie The Good Shepherd in the Dominican Republic, many fans fear for her health. After the fall, she was treated for a gash on her forehead.
